A reluctant sale of our big safe family bus that is now surplus to requirements. This long wheel base 7 seater Pajero 2.8 has served us well for the last 3 years. It has been and still is a very reliable and safe switchable 2 or 4 vehicle drive.This has always been secondary vehicle for our family and its extentions and sometimes has lay unused for a month.

We have faced many problems with other modern diesels we have owned in recent times with DPF and other annoying costly problems, this old school bus has none of these issues and starts first time every time. A brand new battery has just been fitted at its MOT two months ago as the old one was starting to fade.

There is 10 months to run on the new MOT. We looked at several Pajeros when we were in the market for this and many suffered from bad corrosion problems. This one was an exeption and still is. On its last MOT a crack was noted on the rear O/S ladder chassis. This was professionally plated and the repair is shown in one of the photos.

This exceed was originally fitted with the high / low suspention adjustment system. I know nothing about this apart from it has always been stuck in the high lift position. This may be serviceable. The sunroof suffers from a bit of corrosion but is watertight and has never been used by us. The front seats are very comfortable, electric and work fine.

With these vehicles, we learned that the condition of the vehicle is more important than the milage as the terrain they have been used on dictates the corrosion. This model has covered around 150k miles but had a reconditioned engine fitted not long prior to our purchase that runs sweet as a nut. As with all Pajeros of this era, there is a very small oil leak from the crankshaft oil seal that has never been an issue. Like most other owners we have lived with this regularly checking the oil level where the leak is not even noticable as far as oil levels are concerned even over several months.

Pajeros are great for towing and a Whitter duel tow bar is fitted. Condition is clean inside, we are a smoke free family that looks after things and service our vehicles regularily. New front brake discs were fitted 1500 miles ago. Rear ones were also purchased but never needed to be replaced at the time, they will be included in the sale along with a set of front chrome bull bars and a spare alloy with good tyre if full asking price is met. They are currently available separately on request if needed.
