SMC Heritage are proud to present this incredibly special 1982 Mercedes 280SL R107 that has covered just 37,000 miles from new with just two registered keepers. The first for 28 years!

Built in 1982 to UK Specification it was supplied new on November 18th 1982 to Doreen Parker baring the registration 1056 DP by Mercedes Benz agents Dingle Garages of Abergele Road, Colwyn Bay (now Mercedes Benz of North Wales).

Provenance:

With just 2 owners and the original keepers’ tenure spanning 28 years and a service book exclusively stamped by Mercedes main dealers it really is as good as it gets. The car is supplied with all booklets and instructions in the original clear plastic file. One of the keys still resides in the leather cover and there is even the yellow plastic Mercedes emergency service card. The number plates are from the original supplying dealer and all the tools are in original roll. The Jack is unused and still bares its original warning label.

Exterior:

Evidently having always been garaged the astral silver paint (code 735) is in fantastic order throughout with absolutely no signs of rust on the arches or the jacking points. The factory hardtop is unmarked and the chrome work is in great condition. The classic silver colourway is both elegant and timeless and really emphasis the lines of the R107.

Interior:

The interior is a fabulous place to reside and shows no signs of wear. The factory galaxy blue cloth (052) interior is in superb. The carpets have been protected from new by genuine Mercedes ribbed over mats. When we removed the hardtop it was apparent that the factory correct blue cloth hood (5010) has never been used and is absolutely as new.

Overview:

With just 37,000 miles on a vehicle renowned for its longevity its condition is best described as time warp. The exterior and interior are quite simply superb. Even the wheels are free from scratches and wear a matching set of factory correct tyres.

On the road this R107 drives with all the smoothness and fluidity you that you only find with low mileage perfectly maintained examples.
