Role: Mechanical TechnicianLocation: Birmingham Salary: GBPCompetitive + Bonus + Benefits My client, an international leading manufacturing company based in Birmingham is currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their rapidly expanding company.As a heavy manufacturing company, they require a Mechanical Technician tojoin their established team of 6 engineers, working on a day shift (Mon – Fri) in a continuous 24/7 process plant.Your Role: – The individual will be required to repair, overhaul, and attend to breakdown situations, all within a continuously operating plant.– Assisting the engineering maintenance team leader in identifying future maintenancerequirements.– Have a proven background in the maintenance and repair of heavy industrial processequipment which includes, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors.– Proficient in hydraulics, together with the ability to read schematic drawings and faultfind.– Knowledge of mounting and dismounting of large bearings.– The ability to fabricate and TIG weld in stainless steel.The Candidate:– Mechanical experience gained within a process manufacturing industry.– Have a recognised apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline to ONC or equivalent.– To be proactive and consider problems as a challenge.– Having a strong commitment to Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards isessential.Package:– There is an annual Health and Safety Bonus based on Company performance.– A Group Personal Pension Plan with a generous Company contribution element.– All employees will be supported to develop their skills to keep up with the demands ofchanging technology, working practices, and flexible working.– Annual holiday of 39 days consisting of 25 days annual leave, 8 statutory days, and 6additional days based on attendance.Working Hours:08:00–16:30 with half hour break.At KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
