Mechanical Fitters

Location: On various sites, nationwide, paid travel & accommodation

Salary: GBP18-GBP19 per hour depending on experience plus overtime and weekends.

A great opportunity has arrived to join a growing vibrant company as they are looking to appoint Mechanical Fitters for their installation and maintenance division.

Key Responsibilities

Working as part of a skilled engineering team.Responsible for the installation, setting up of industrial equipment & machinery.Undertaking installations of new equipment and performing repairs on existing machinery.Use a range of tools and engineering techniques to maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment to operational standards.Reading, interpreting engineering drawings.Test and identify defective or worn mechanical components or equipment.Adhering to the highest safety standards throughout all tasks requited.Operating plant equipment such as MEWP, Loadall, Slinger banksman, and PASMA (training can be provided).To maintain a smart appearance and to act in a professional manner at all times when representing the company. Role Requirements

Possess formal qualifications within a relevant discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ/BTEC/City & Guilds Level 3, HNC, HND etc.)2+ years' ideally with experience in heavy engineering working on rotating equipment (pumps, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, quarrying, cement, steelworks.Precision shaft alignment with gearboxes and motors.
