Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter Supervisor with a passion for marine engineering and industrial maintenance? If so, FINTEC recruit has an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Fitter Supervisor to join our international engineering client based in Dunbartonshire. This is a permanent position in a regulated work environment, with a focus on mechanical fitting activities, including onsite planned and preventative maintenance.
As a Mechanical Fitter Supervisor, you will play a vital role in leading a team in the maintenance and repair of specialist equipment in a dynamic and challenging environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Identifying defects and efficiently repairing systems Conducting planned and reactive maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities Collaborating with a highly skilled team to ensure the smooth operation of critical equipment Line management of a team of mechanical Fitters Key Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should have:
Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter in a Marine Engineering or industrial setting, which would be advantageous Supervisory experience Proficiency in understanding and interpreting technical drawings Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills Experience with maintenance procedures, risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, and Safe Systems of Work Exceptional teamwork and communication skills Qualifications Required:
Candidates should hold one of the following qualifications:
Recognized Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship qualified to SVQ Level 3 (or NVQ and C&G equivalent) HNC and above in a Mechanical Engineering discipline, coupled with industry experience Supervisory experience You will work from Monday to Thursday, 8.05am to 4.45pm, and Fridays, 8.05am to 12.05pm, based on-site Please note that this position may involve working at heights and in confined spaces.
