Reporting To: Principal Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Stanningley, Leeds, LS28 6PT

Work Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:30 – 16:00; Friday 07:30 - 12:00 (flexibility available).

We specialize in designing, manufacturing, and supplying autoclave-based processing equipment for niche global markets, including aerospace. Our team is expanding, and we are excited to announce an opening for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain mechanical design information and management systems, ensuring integration with other disciplines for efficient manufacture and supply of new products (using Solidworks and PDM Works).

Collaborate across engineering disciplines to achieve optimal engineering solutions.

Manage the evolution of standard upgrade options for products post-launch.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience.

Proficiency in SolidWorks.

Strong numerical skills.

Knowledge of Project Management processes.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.

Understanding of European Directives, CE Marking, ASME standards, and North American pressure equipment regulations.

Knowledge of design and manufacturing codes and standards.

Proactive approach to solving engineering and business challenges.

Excellent time management and negotiation skills.

Self-disciplined with the ability to prioritise effectively.
