Mechanical Assembler/Tester, Cambridge, PE27, GBP21,300K - GBP25K
A well-established manufacturing company based in St Ives Cambridgeshire is seeking a mechanical assembler to join a successful team working for company that invests in their people provide products globally.
You will report to the Instrumentation Assembly Supervisor you will be responsible for the assembly and testing of hydraulic flow equipment and completing the associated documentation working methodically within a production assembly environment. You ll be self-motivated with great work ethics, punctual, reliable with mechanical or problem-solving skills whilst using tools with the ability to read technical drawings to record relevant and accurate information on MS Excel. You will enjoy learning and possess a collaborative and motivated approach with the attitude to make things happen working to tight production deadlines. With good IT, English, that s written and spoken you will have the willingness to contribute new ideas towards improvements. Full training will be provided.
Key responsibilities include:
Assemble precision mechanical components from technical drawings or models Use the ERP software system to plan, pick, issue items and assign serial numbers where required, for the assembly of the product using the Job Traveler Assemble components, completing in-process inspection during assembly Test the assembled components using hydraulic equipment in the test room or the bench electronic equipment to the required specifications Ensure all components meet required level of quality and follow any non-conformance procedures Maintain quality standards and ensure compliance with ISO9001 procedures Participate in any project or carry out specific tasks that may be assigned by your Manager from time to time in your or any other department Complete all associated documentation Work cross functionally across department
