Maths teacher needed in a secondary school in Wolverhampton. January start. Your new school

The schools is rated ‘good’ by OFSTED at their last inspection were commended on the positive relationships between staff and students. The students at this school come from a range of different faiths and backgrounds, but the school has created an inclusive and positive environment for all students, regardless of their backgrounds.

The Headteacher and wider senior leadership team are central to creating this environment, with the Headteacher encouraging ambition and a desire to do well with both staff and students. The school teaches students aged 11-18 and has recently received a large investment, which they have utilised to provide new facilities for the school, including 7 new science labs, a computer suite and a performing arts centre. The school is part of a large multi-academy trust, which consists of both primary and secondary schools and shares the schools' mission of creating a positive learning environment for all students and staff.

The school is located in North East Wolverhampton and is easily accessible by both car and public transport.

Due to the interim, the school requires maths cover for the term. Starting January.

Your new role

This would be a full-time role 5 days a week, acting on a temporary basis. The role would require an experienced maths teacher who is able to deliver engaging lessons to help the students’ progress towards their goals and help reach their full potential, whilst furthering your experience and developing your teaching skills.

As well as delivering maths lessons, you would also be required to keep track of students’ progress and provide a positive environment, whilst also engaging with other faculty members to maintain standards within the school.

What you'll need to succeed

If you possess a QTS or QTLS or you have just completed your PGCE and have previous experience teaching maths within a Secondary Education environment, this may be the role for you.
