Maths teaching job in Sheffield - £154.00 to £212.00 per day - Temporary Hays Education are working with a school in Sheffield who are needing a Maths teacher to provide support whilst another staff member is off. This job is in a unique setting which not only provides education, but also provides healthcare and residential care to vulnerable young people who often display challenging behaviours due to their complex histories and potential significant trauma.
The job is full-time, 5 days a week working with a maximum of 4 young people in a secure, holistic and therapeutic environment. Working alongside Residential Care staff, mental health and associated professionals, and local authorities, you will plan and deliver a tailored curriculum that incorporates National Curriculum, vocational learning and life skills. Please note, due to the nature of the setting you will be expected to teach other areas as well as Maths.
Due to the nature of the setting, you need to be a resilient person who is calm under pressure and can think on your feet. You will receive Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training prior to starting.
