Job Title: Materials / Logistics Planner

Salary: GBP35k - GBP45k
Overview:
Our client is looking for a Follow Up Engineer, responsible for managing end-to-end plant logistics, covering material handling, warehouse operations, inventory control, production support, internal transport, and record-keeping to optimise efficiency and productivity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Mentor and train specialists to foster excellence and learning.
Optimise department headcount to meet budget and workload needs.
Ensure timely and accurate daily operations.
Monitor counts, analyse discrepancies, and plan corrective actions.
Drive KPI achievement for enhanced efficiency.
Ensures necessary material transfers daily.
Efficiently manage excess material disposition.
Contribute to contract setup and monitor execution.
Coordinate with 3PL providers, monitor service levels, and refine processes.
Drive process efficiency via Kaizen projects.
Requirements
Experience in Logistic Engineering
Experienced in the management of operations cost and investment planning.
Experienced in warehouse inventory planning & management.
Proficient use and knowledge of SAP
Experienced in Manufacturing Processes
Knowledge of 3PL services
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to learn and adapt to new and different situations.
Excellent communication skills (internally and externally)
Excellent teamwork spirit and communication skills
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business Management, Engineering, or other related fields
Minimum 3-5 years OF Supply Chain, Manufacturing and/or Purchasing experience.
