Immensely powerful amplifier from the later Matt Matthias years when the 80s caught up with music and people went to discos instead of seeing real bands. This is a solid state amp built to Matamp quality levels, and Matt Matthias levels of innovation. It has a bunch of overload protection built in, and a circuit which shuts it off if a fault puts DC into the output. It is two 500w channels into 4 ohm each, or can be bridged for the full kilowatt into 8ohm. I've used one to run my epic low end bass rig, but I've got tons of valve amps now, so use them. Just had this fully gone through and more convenient modern Speakon outputs, and handier jack inputs fitted.
