This is a Standard Series Martin 000-42 from 2017. In 2018, they changed them for the Re-imagined Series. The main difference is that this one features grained ivoroid bindings, whereas the Re-imagined Series has the Antique White plastic bindings. The Re-imagined also has an aged top and a modified low oval profile neck, whereas this model has the modified 'V' neck. All in all, an arresting mix of German puritanism and American bling!
The only thing to mention is that there are a few very fine checking marks in the varnish on the top and the back of the headstock which can only be seen when the light catches them at a certain angle. I checked with a couple of Martin experts and they said these are very common and nothing to worry about; some people find them an attractive attribute. They occur solely in the varnish and do not affect the Sitka spruce top in any way.
