Salary: GBP26,000 to GBP28,000 based on experience

NLA is seeking an exceptional Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone to craft their skillset in a variety of marketing and communications tasks, working as a key member in a busy team on a variety of creative and interesting activities.

About the role

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the role will provide a critical level of support to the team across a wide range of communication tasks that help NLA engage its wide-reaching membership and public audiences with our mission to shape a better city.

Working flexibly from our City of London office, The London Centre (our public gallery housing our exceptional scale models of London), and from home, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be a crucial member of NLA's dynamic and talented team and will develop their marketing and communication skills in a fast-paced and nurturing environment.

Tasks include:

Copywriting and scheduling of social media, newsletter and website content for NLA research, events and conferences (including core NLA projects such as the London Festival of Architecture, New London Awards and London Real Estate Forum). Listing events on NLA website incl. choosing best imagery and crafting copy. Sourcing content for and distributing weekly 'What's on' and New London Weekly digital newsletters. Creatively manage and create content for The London Centre social media accounts. Attend NLA events (including some breakfast and evening events) and live post on social media. Support collation of key analytics and report on performance of key communication activities. What we are looking for

You will be a creative self-starter with a keen eye for detail, high level of organisation and a strong team-player. You will thrive in a fast-paced, stimulating environment, and share our team's core values by always being informed, rigorous, collaborative and responsive in everything you do.

Required experience and skills:

Experience working in marketing or communications role or educated in relevant subject. Strong copywriting skills, proofreading and attention to detail. Experience of working on social media campaigns from conception to finish under a busy schedule. Experience of email marketing. Strong visual and communication skills. Excellent written and spoken English. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. A proactive team player. Enthusiastic and willing to undertake variety of tasks and learn new skills. Work to tight deadlines with a can-do attitude. Not essential, but appreciated:

Experience working in the built environment sector. An understanding of how to apply SEO best practices. Holiday 25 days per year (including Christmas closure) plus bank holidays. The normal working week is 40 hours, Monday to Friday, with limited ad-hoc morning/evening work that can be reclaimed as TOIL.
