Role: Manufacturing Tester
Location: Cheltenham
Duration: 12 months
Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 12h shifts
Pay: GBP22.40/hour PAYE
Role Summary: As a Test Operator, you will be responsible for the set up and running of production testing of Top Level and Sub Level Avionics.The role will include a range of tasks and the successful applicant should demonstrate flexibility and work effectively as part of a larger multi-disciplined teamEssential Responsibilities:
Support for Test process, Vibration, ATP and ESS tests for Top Level Units and Sub AssembliesAccurate logging of failure data in FRACAS database and assisting with possible root cause fixesAll aspects of setup of equipment to support test Compliance with and adherence to relevant processes and proceduresThe ability to identify trends and root cause to eliminate future failsThe Ability to formulate your own shift plan to deliver product in line with the MPS and customer requirementsRead and follow manufacturing plansEnsure quality and health & safety adherenceFollow daily manufacturing metricsParticipate in lean activities and other initiativesSupport manufacturing delivery needsWork in teams to achieve delivery targetsComplete manufacturing paperwork and job cards Qualifications/Requirements:
Ability to understand technical drawings and instructionsUnderstanding of manufacturing test processesUnderstanding of manufacturing business systems i.e. TipQa, Proficy & WindchillGood concentration and attention to detailAble to produce work of high qualityA flexible and co-operative approachAppreciation of health and safety practice in the workplaceExperience of self-directed work teams and teamingAwareness of customer expectations and business requirementsCommunication and time keeping skills.Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude Flexible start time between 0600 - 0800
i.e. Earliest start would be 0600 - 1820
Latest start 0740 - 2000
First 3 months training - to be worked on days/ Mon - Fri shifts.
