My client who are a specialized product and technology company are looking to recruit a Manufacturing & Test Equipment Support Engineer on a Contract basis to join their team based in Deeside. The successful candidate will be a hands–on integral player in developing, supporting and improving the various IT and manufacturing equipment processes through analytical means and engineered solutions supporting the Quality at the Source and Process Capability and Smart factory Business Initiatives. The Engineer will provide process expertise and possess key skills relating to validation, process optimization and problem solving. They will furthermore, support and deliver projects from the Project Portfolio and work closely with all teams to ensure that Continuous Improvement is embedded at every level within the organization and that all deliverables are constantly improved.
Key Duties and Responsibilities for the Manufacturing & Test Equipment Support Engineer
Serve as Subject Matter expert driving onsite efforts to establish the necessary IT infrastructure, networking/database connections to manufacturing and test (Tensile and Burst Testing machines, Dial Indicators, CMM and similar other equipment as required) equipment to support the Quality at Source and Process Capability Programs strategic programsServe as the on–site expert driving both internal and external (vendors) to ensure robust/repeatable and compliant processes are equipment and required data analytics software connection, storage, and manipulation.Lead efforts to work with external equipment/machine manufacturers to develop most robust repeatable processes for data extraction, and manipulation for process data.Analyse and interpret vendor manuals and instructions for manufacturing and test equipment set up, installation, and data extraction/manipulation to support overall project goals and timeline.Collaborate with IT teams, Business Teams, and as needed External vendors in project, user set–up, troubleshooting, validation, and troubleshooting calls.Support and Execute IQ/OQ/PQ protocols as required along with other validation deliverables (User/Functional Requirements, Test Scripts) in line with project/program requirements.Provide Application support user set up, troubleshooting, issue–resolution for Quality at Source, Process Capability and other Quality Systems software as required. Key skills and experience for the Manufacturing & Test Equipment Support Engineer:
Knowledge and experience with Life Sciences/Medical Device manufacturing and Test Equipment (Tensile and Burst Testing, Instron, Lippke, CMM, Dial indicator, and similar production machines)Knowledge of international Quality standards and regulations.SQL ProficiencyKnowledgeable of GXP and GAMP validation processesProblem Solver with IT background (infrastructure, database, db structures, networking, and application support)Proficient with computer applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and Quality Analyst type tools Mini–Tab, Power BI; along with others.Project management skills and experience including charters, RACIs, Reporting, FMEA's, C&E Matrices, MS Project SchedulingCompetent in applying "Lean" and alternative process improvement tools where appropriate.
