An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Lead to join our client, a successful and dynamic Pharmaceutical Manufacturing company, based in Great Yarmouth.

This is a full time, permanent position, working:
Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4:30pm
Friday: 8am to 3:30pm
The successful candidate will be expected to provide support to the Manufacturing Manager, in the effective operation and leadership of the Manufacturing department.
Key responsibilities:
Ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe manner, promoting a culture of safety first.Ensuring the efficient and effective use of people and equipment resources.Assisting in measuring and reporting on productivitySupporting continuous improvement initiatives, identifying, and reducing waste.Assisting in delivering the manufacturing plan to the agreed schedule, measuring, and reporting on performance.Ensuring that Operations are carried out in line with GMP and ensuring compliance with QMS.Providing support in managing change control, deviations and CAPAs. Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
A minimum of A 'Level qualifications or equivalent in a Science, Engineering or Management discipline, or proven ability demonstrated by experience.Knowledge and experience of process technologies and machinery.Knowledge and experience of Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, Food or similar manufacturing environment.Experience of working in a regulated environment where hygiene and following procedures is critical.Understanding of the principles of H&S management within a manufacturing environment.Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of leading and motivating teams.Understanding of the theories of change management, the principles of 6S workplace organisation and Lean manufacturing processes.Aptitude for problem solving and strong written and verbal communication skills.Highly PC literate (MS Office, Word, Excel etc).Enthusiasm, drive and a desire to make a difference. As the Manufacturing Lead, you will initially be focused on progressing all types of documentation for the manufacturing teams, this will include a lot of QA documentation (CAPAs) so you will need to be familiar using Computer systems and also writing Standard operating procedures and work instructions as well has batch management records.
In this role, you will also provide support and advise to the shift leaders on how to get the best from their people and equipment, so applicants will need to have had experience of supervising staff with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
The successful candidate will also need to manage projects these; could be continuous improvement projects, installation of new equipment and introduction of new products.
