We are looking for Manufacturing Engineer to join a forward-thinking engineering business in Wakefield. The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will have a mechanical mind-set, the ability to provide engineering support to the production lines (some Lean and CI knowledge is essential)

Manufacturing Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Production Engineer, Process Engineer, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, CI

Routings and part setup using the chosen ERP system (SAP).

Work closely with design on any changes, reviewing BOM and documenting changes.

Create picklist/build cards and update databases with tooling changes.

Ensure staff cross functional alignment to manage new / changed product into production.

Plan and co-ordinate duties aligned with the NPI strategy and business milestones.

Work with the team to ensure that existing methods of manufacture are proficient.

Evaluate and analyse product designs to formulate the most efficient assembly processes.

Experience working within a similar position.

Manufacturing/assemblies background.

Able to interpret designs/drawings.

Computer literate / ideally able to use SAP and Excel.

Relevant manufacturing/engineering qualification.
