Salary: up to circa GBP43k depending on experience

The opportunity:
An opportunity is now available in the Continuous Improvement team.
The successful candidate will support the MBDA Assembly Operations business in the delivery of missile systems to our UK & international customers. They will support and lead waste / defect reduction activities that will increase productivity as we drive towards trebling our production rates while reducing our costs. There will be a requirement to liaise with other functions within MBDA ensuring they are fully aware of all improvement activities that are ongoing within the business. You will provide leadership, direction and support across Assembly Operations at all levels of the organisation.
As a Continuous Improvement (CI) Team member your main responsibilities will involve:
Set up, support and govern CI reviews, ensuring they are robust and sustainable.Facilitation and running of CI plans to enable the implementation of corrective & preventative actionsSupporting root cause analysis for externally supplied detail productsReduce defective issues within the business which include concessions, rework and non-conformances using an 8D / A3 methodology.Implementation of process controls & process capability based on critical and significant features driven by the customer.Facilitation of PPS for Root cause analysis within the manufacturing facilitiesTechnical expertise on Lean tool sets and change management What we're looking for from you:
Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21.ANDFormal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject.ORBEng in relevant Engineering or Science Degree As a CI Team member your skills and experience will ideally include:
Working in or supporting operations in a fast paced production environment.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence teams outside of your direct reporting structure.The ability to form and maintain productive, working relationships across the functions.Experience in the use & understanding of Lean manufacturing & Six sigma methodologies and tools (such as minitab software), alongside CI & Quality toolsLeading practical problem solving exercises with multi functional teamsThe ability to produce, maintain and interpret data using structured approach.Manage projects and or improvement from "cradle to grave"Having a sound understanding of manufacturing, logistical and engineering processes Our Business:
