Management Accountant (Revenue)
Our client is a highly profitable and ambitious service business that has grown from scratch to c.GBP400m sales and over 500 staff in approx. 15 years. Its finance department and people have grown and progressed with the company and the function is now c.30 people strong. The company is now on the next stage of its journey and we're now looking to help further strengthen the finance team, by appointing a first-rate Management Accountant (Revenue) to join a seven strong, growing Management Accounting team.
Reporting to the Head of Management Accounting, you will take a key role in leading a team responsible for ensuring accuracy around the revenue processes and providing key insights into the company's revenue streams.
Your key responsibilities as Management Accountant (Revenue) will include:
Leading a newly created team of revenue accountants with the ability to shape the structure of the teamDelivering clear and concise revenue work papers that provide valuable insight into the Groups revenueMonitoring revenue movements and delivering valuable insightsImplementing new revenue reporting processes and systemsAligning revenue reporting to Group data strategyMaintaining tight controls around associated cost of sales driversPreparing regular P&Ls, reports and analysisIdentifying opportunities for improved financial performanceCommunicating and interpreting financial information to business managersSupporting colleagues in your team and the wider departmentImproving financial systems and processTraining and development of the management accounting teamDeveloping granular level reporting systems for revenueWorking closely with the FP&A team to maintain the required regulatory capital levels required within the business Management Accountant (Revenue) you'll offer:
Strong, commercial experience gained in an Assistant Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant or Management Accountant type roleQualified or Part-Qualified working towards professional accounting qualifications in CIMA, ACCA or equivalentA progressive, proactive, ambitious and flexible approachExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in financial software and MS ExcelStrong communication and presentation skillsDetailed, thorough and able to understand drivers behind the business Benefits:
