This Management Accountant role involves working across the Group, ensuring the quality delivery of month-end and year-end accounts preparation, supporting a strong control environment and enabling clean audit reports.

Based in Manchester, the successful candidate will be a part-qualified, CCAB-registered accountant.

As a Management Accountant, you'll be responsible for:

Prepare and review the Monthly Reporting PacksInvestigate and comment on key variances between budgeted and actual performance, proposing corrective action as appropriateMonthly reviews of the financial performance with individual Cost Centre ManagersResponsible for accurate and timely reconciliation of a range of balance sheet accounts for both the UK company and international subsidiaries, including intercompany reconciliations across all entitiesKeep up to date with accounting standards and compliance requirements, etc. across the processesPropose business improvement and efficiency initiatives as appropriateImprove end-to-end accounting processes by liaising with other finance teams and the wider businessEnsure that financial controls are consistently appliedManage and support audit queriesWork with the Group Accountant to ensure compliance with tax legislation across the groupAny other duties that may be reasonably required

Essential Skills

2+ years of experience gained in a similar environmentPart-qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or a similarly recognised accounting qualificationProven experience in working in a successful team and taking ownership and responsibilityProven experience working in a fast-paced, changing, environment excellent communication skills both written and verbalAction Oriented -Able to spot opportunities, engage the right people and create plans to makes things happen.
