Our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to work within a machine shop environment. You will be required to work with a mixture of conventional manual machines and newer CNC machines, This role is well suited to someone who is mechanically trained and qualified with experience of welding and burning.
The responsibilites include:
- Working as part of a small team with the role focusing on mechanical fittings/maintenance of machine shop equipment, with a particular focus on tackling breakdowns re-actively.
- Focusing on mechanical maintenance across all equipment through fault finding, PPM and project work whilst ensuring all work is logged/recorded through the maintenance system.
- Working safely in accordance to the company's safety policies.
- The ideal candidate must have some mechanical experience in the following areas; hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, bearings, chains, pumps, gears, welding, machining, fabricating, fault-findings or repairs.
- Must have a proactive and self-motivated attitude, friendly and adaptable nature with a keen interest in learning and have a good level of physical fitness.
The applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Be mechanically trained and qualified through either a recognised apprenticeship scheme or hold relevant mechanical qualifications.
- Have a mechanical background in a similar industrial, production or manufacturing environment.
- Your current job title may include mechanical fitter, machine shop fitter, mechanical maintenance engineer or mechanical technician.
