My client, a leading FTSE 250 Manufacturing organisation based in Oxford are recruiting for experienced Maintenance Engineers to join their already established team. This is a site-based role requiring a self-motivated and resilient individual to take responsibility for the mechanical and electronic maintenance of equipment within a manufacturing environment.
Strong engineering and technical skills are required along with demonstrable analytical skills and the ability to problem solve. The ability to provide periodic and preventative maintenance of manufacturing facilities, associated infrastructure and manufacturing equipment is paramount in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain plant machinery to ensure safe, continual and efficient operations. Ensuring that periodic and preventive maintenance are appropriately scheduled and accomplished and that troubleshooting and maintenance support are readily available as needed. Managing maintenance goal setting, activity scheduling and work allocation to ensure measurable goals, proper workload distribution, goal satisfaction and effective staff management. Update records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and training given Work closely with manufacturers, suppliers and internal departments in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance Required skills, experience and/or qualifications:
Apprenticeship / industry recognised qualifications Experience in mechanical / electrical maintenance in a manufacturing / engineering environment Knowledge of plant operation principles, methods and processes Ability to handle day-to-day and strategic issues, based around operational requirements and the management of a manufacturing facility.
