The role as a Maintenance Engineer:
To maintain all manufacturing plants, equipment, and facilities in good working order. Improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the meantime to repair (MTTR).
Working as part of our maintenance and engineering department, you will help shape and drive initiatives to support our troubleshooting team as well as maintain the state of the art production facilities.
The ideal applicant will be someone who thrives as a hands-on collaborative engineer and is confident in providing engineering expertise, the best practical & theoretical knowledge, and an understanding of requirements within the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will come from a fast-moving background but this is by no means a necessity and should be able to work on their initiative, be a time-served engineer with multi-skilling, and have experience within an automated manufacturing environment, as there are PLCs in the site.
Essential Experience of the Maintenance Engineer
Previous food processing industry experience is an advantage but not essential Mechanical Engineering qualification (minimum level 3) Minimum 2 Years experience working in food manufacturing or an automated production environment. Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety Data and analytical skills Computer literate (word/excel/windows-based packages)
Desirable experince of the Maintenance Engineer:
PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, temperature control, instrumentation, welding, Lean experience. Previous food processing industry experience is an advantage but not essential
