I purchased this a few months ago, but prefer using my laptop, hence sale. The upgrades

alone cost over £600, so this is a real bargain.

Fully working, except that the Optical Audio Out port LED light is always in the ON position

(i.e. permanently on red LED light - see photo). This has somehow disabled the audio output

function of the firewire ports - audio can't be output from a firewire audio interface (although

it will show up in the list of sound devices). However, do note that only the audio transmission

of the firewire port is rendered unusable - transferring data with a firewire hard drive is fine.

All the USB ports work fine. Therefore, if one doesn't plan on using a firewire audio device with

this computer, this is a very capable and good value investment for one's computing needs.

Still used by audio and broadcast media professionals worldwide. The EFI video card along

with the OpenCore Legacy Patcher software enables easy upgrade to the latest macOS.

This boxed Mac Pro 5,1 has been upgraded from 4,1.

Everything is as it should be, with no hacks or modifications to the existing hardware

(PSU for example).

The Mac Pro casing is in very good condition, with no visible marks or scratches.

All of the fans work perfectly as they should with no speed issues. The SuperDrive

DVD drive works fine.

Both CPU's have been professionally delided, so no spacers were needed when

refitting the CPU heatsinks.

Everything cleaned internally with air compressor, ESD brushes and isopropyl alcohol.

New thermal pads and paste applied.

1TB SSD drive has been configured as the boot drive. There is a 4TB WD Blue HDD

for additional storage.

OpenCore Legacy Patcher (0.6.8) is currently installed (version 1.2.1 is the latest version

which the Patcher will prompt one to update if preferred) and was used to easily install

macOS Monterey (12.6.8). It had macOS Ventura (13.5) installed when I purchased it.

in sale). All my data will be removed, and the Mac Pro will be de-authorised from my Apple

iCloud account after the sale.
