An exciting opportunity to work two days from home and two in the office near Swindon as a Logistics Import and Export Manager GBP28,000-GBP30,000 per annum plus end of year bonus Purpose of Role: You would be dealing with UK Road, European Road, Air and Sea Imports and Exports- must have experience in this area Must have experience with commodity codes To fully support Account & Project Managers in delivery of customer satisfaction To be the first point of contact for Account & Project Managers on all freight movements To act as conduit for communication between supplier/customer, account/Project Manager & internal teams in relation to all logistics issues Liase with Account/Project Manager and internal departments to ensure deliveries are on time To purchase Transport at best price and within budgetary targets To manage In bound and Out Bound logistics. Key Activities: Customer Be the main contact for account & project managers for all transportation requests Inputs into internal departments to ensure project and project manager requirements are met Ensures materials arrive at site at correct time and quality Provide all necessary input into internal departments to ensure customer/project manager requirements are met Provide quotations for transport tenders back to Account & Project Managers in a timely manor Administration: Organise logistics of all transport required by the company Update and maintenance of Transport tracker Update and issue warehouse load schedule Ensure quotations are accurate and timely Places purchase orders for all transport required as specified (Air, Sea & Road) Create Commercial Invoices and Packing lists Maintain list of commodity codes for all products and update of ERP System Ensure that all Import and Export documentation is maintained, and records retained Development: Ensuring all transportation is fully documented Maintaining accurate and up to date information on all freight movements Buying: Negotiates best prices for transport to ensure budgeted costs achieved Requirements: 5 GCSE grades A/B or O Levels, including English and Maths Previous experience in shop fitting or similar background Familiarity with Microsoft packages Previous experience in transport related roles
