We are looking for a supply chain specialist/logistics coordinator to join our team and help us manage the flow of goods and services from our suppliers to our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of our freight forwarding services, as well as maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
As a supply chain specialist, you will:
Coordinate and monitor the transportation and storage of goods from origin to destinationCommunicate with suppliers, carriers, customs agents, and customers to ensure smooth operations and compliance with regulationsNegotiate contracts and rates with suppliers and carriers to optimize costs and service levelsTrack and report on key performance indicators such as transit time, delivery accuracy, inventory levels, etc.Identify and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the supply chain processImplement and improve supply chain processes and systems to increase efficiency and customer satisfactionArrange shipments as per order and customer specifications.Create relevant export documents which includes Commercial invoice, Packing list, Export declaration, Certificate of Origin, CMR, A.TR, Airway bills and Bill of Ladings.Issue relevant documentation required against Letters of Credit.Liaise with freight forwarders for goods ready for dispatch.Support customers or internal stakeholders with any enquiries.
To be successful as a supply chain specialist, you will need:
A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding or supply chain related roleKnowledge of international trade, customs, and transportation regulations and proceduresProficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applicationsExcellent communication, negotiation, and problem–solving skillsAttention to detail, accuracy, and organisationAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexibility and adaptability to changing customer needs and market conditions
