We are looking for a dedicated, responsible and caring person to take care of our elderly parents on a live-in basis. They have been cared for till now by visiting carers 3-4 times a day and we would like to increase the continuity and consistency of their care. We can offer a separate bedroom with TV and WIFI together with a food allowance. The bungalow is situated in a large, beautiful, secluded garden on the edge of the New Forest in Totton. Totton town centre is a 15 minute walk away and Southampton city centre 30 minutes by bus or car.

Our father has moderate Alzheimer`s, though fortunately he remains with an adorable, friendly nature. He is mobile without assistance. he does suffer from incontinence and wears a pad through the day. Our mother is mobile with a walking frame and has mild dementia and memory loss.

Your Roles and Responsibilities

• Providing personal care duties

• Administering medication

• Household chores

• Meal preparation

• Shopping

• Taking our Dad for a daily walk

• Offering our Mum companionship

Care Arrangement

The care hours and arrangement can be discussed in terms of on and off days and can be agreed with the other person you would be buddying with. The range can be from anything from 1 day up to 4 days per week.

Your Background and Experience

Ideally, you have had already previous experience caring for elderly or disabled people and you enjoy the experience of being around and supporting others. You are fluent in English. You can provide a DBS check.

Our preference is for someone who is in within a short commuting distance to Southampton.
