Job Title: Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer

Location: London - Hybrid working of rotational weeks

Salary: Up to GBP50 umbrella Per Hour

Venn Group's esteemed legal team collaborates with a leading London Local Authority currently in search of a skilled Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer to enhance their expanding team.

The role of Locum Housing Litigation Lawyer is offered for an initial 3 month period with the potential for an extension based on performance and requirement. This position will allow you to play a pivotal role in handling housing litigation matters for the Local Authority.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEx) with a proven track record of successfully managing Housing Litigation cases within the Local Government Sector.

Duties shall include:

Handling of Possessions: Facilitate the legal eviction process by meticulously adhering to prescribed legal procedures, including serving notices, initiating court applications, obtaining possession orders, and coordinating with bailiffs when necessarySub-Letting Procedures: To manage and address challenges related to subletting within the context of tenancy agreements and ensuring compliance with restrictionsDisrepair Litigation: Offer succinct legal counsel on various disrepair matters affecting residential properties. Oversee the entire lifecycle of disrepair cases, ensuring adherence to pertinent legal regulationsInjunction Work: Housing injunction law, adept at providing expert advice, managing cases, and representing clients in court proceedingsJudicial Review: Prepare and review legal documents related to housing law, maintaining accuracy and legal complianceConduct of Appeals Collaborate with a reputable Local Authority in the heart of London to engage in meaningful work and be part of a growing team committed to excellence.
