We are looking for a Lighting Operations Manager to join us at the National Theatre.

Are you an experienced, professional Lighting practitioner, and wish to work with industry leading Lighting Creatives and Technicians, with state-of-the-art lighting fixtures and systems, in producing world class theatre?

We are recruiting for a Lighting Operations Manager, to work in collaboration with the Lighting Resources and Lighting Control Managers, in supporting and deputising for the Head of Lighting.

This role spearheads the National Theatre’s 3 venue teams of Lighting Supervisors and Technicians, including providing experienced contributions to the preliminary stages of the production process.

You will need to be a proficient people manager, who can deftly instil departmental standardisation, whilst developing individuals’ strengths and experiences

The successful candidate will have the following:

Significant Lighting experience at a senior or management level, in repertory, producing and touring theatre.

Comprehension of professional Lighting Design and/or relights.

Ability to interpret the feasibility and probability of creative ideas, within technical parameters.

Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, prevalent to Lighting & Production.

An interest in sustainable theatre making practices
