A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Private Rented Sector Lettings Negotiator to join one of Adecco's key public sector housing clients in a fixed term contract role for the next 12 months.

Based in Sutton in Surrey but with a requirement to travel around other boroughs by car, this is a full time role (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday). You will ideally come from an estate agency background and preferably have worked in a similar role where you have utilised your excellent communication, presentation and team skills to develop a variety of relationships, each important to the growth and future development of the business. Working to pre–specified sales and activity targets, this role requires an enthusiastic and motivated attitude, together with a keen interest in the private residential lettings industry.

The right candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding levels of customer service to both existing tenants and landlords, and prospective users of our client's Lettings Agency service. You will contribute directly to the Company's key performance indicators and monthly revenue objectives. The primary focus is the procurement of Private Rented Sector Accommodation for the Ukrainians and Afghan clients either in Temporary Accommodation or new approaches. You will match prospective tenants to available properties procured and coordinate all stages of the enquiry, follow–up, application and pre–tenancy processes in an efficient, professional and commercially–oriented manner.

Assessing deposit guarantee claims and making recommendations for reimbursement to landlordsCarrying out independent but low risk interventions/assessments to identify needs of the target audience (Ukrainians & Afghans) and procure accommodations that meet their housing needs.Negotiating with landlords regarding incentives and rent levels, working within the budgetary parametersContributing to the promotion and marketing of the specific projectIncreasing the portfolio of landlords and build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage landlords to let their properties to households in need, as well as the private marketPromoting the find your own scheme with the client group and readying the checklist of information with urgency once a suitable property has been procuredRegistering and responding to multi–channel enquiries, arranging and attending appointments with prospective landlords and tenants. Managing time effectively to ensure appointments and activity levels are maximised; attracting new clients via market appraisalsMaintaining an up to date pipeline of tenancy applications, including progression of tenancy references. Identifying client requirements and matching to property portfolioNegotiating successful lettings between landlords and tenants, arranging and facilitating sign ups. Applicants will ideally possess strong knowledge of Welfare Benefits, including Universal Credit and Housing Benefit. Knowledge of security of tenure and possession proceedings would also be highly useful.

The successful candidate will not need to come into the Sutton office everyday (only 1 or 2 days each week), but will need to be prepared to travel regularly across different boroughs in South London as they will need to attend property inspections etc as well as meeting with private landlords and other members of staff.
