Working for a small and friendly firm as a secretary to a fee earner.
Monday to Thursday 9-5, Friday 8-4 with 30 mins lunch.
Arranging correspondence and documents through audio-typing and word processing Recording all client and matter details on the management system, setting up new files, and ensuring that the client/matter details are kept up to date ensuring confidentiality at all times Making appointments, arranging meetings and maintaining an up-to-date diary for the Fee Earner(s) Attending to clients both in person and on the telephone and providing such support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm's standards for client care Assisting in general office administration such as carrying out any necessary copying and administration tasks, preparing mail and enclosures for dispatch and processing internal mail Preparing bundles including photocopying and binding documents, and scanning documentation Administering filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files Carrying general accounts administration Answering telephone calls efficiently and politely and taking accurate messages Ensuring that all internal methods, systems, policies and procedures are adhered to Managing own work allocation, productivity and quality of work with minimum supervision Assisting with preparation for client meetings, including providing refreshments Experience and skills required:
Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary within Family Law is preferred Computer literate with accurate word processing and excellent audio typing skills Strong organisational skills with good diary management experience Be highly motivated with a can-do attitude and the ability to multi-task whilst working to tight deadlines An effective communicator both orally and written with strong attention to detail Bridge Recruitment Ltd are acting as an employment agency.
