We are working with a leading Insurance company to source an Underwriter to join their Legal Indemnity team in London.Reporting to the Underwriting Manager, your focus will be to provide an excellent Legal Indemnity underwriting service to clientele, providing quotations and aiming to meet income and profit targets.Your Main Responsibilities will include:-

Conducting a thorough analysis of risks to ensure they are appropriate for the business, by assessing whether the risk is acceptable within the parameters and guidelines agreed with the insurer and the level of premium for which to accept the risk on behalf of the Insurer to generate income and profit to the company.Liaising with clients (solicitors/brokers/licensed conveyancers), responding to requests and queries as a matter of priority, with the aim of progressing risks to quotation.Marketing products, services and the business throughout the Insurance community, attending client/site visits as necessary, to increase enquiries and foster client relationships. The right candidate will need to have current or previous exposure to underwriting legal indemnity business with a focus on either commercial or residential lines.
