This role has a starting salary of GBP27,897 per annum, based on a 36–hour working week. This is a 12–month fixed term position with the potential to be extended subject to business need.
We are excited to be hiring a new Childcare Legal Support Officer to join our fantastic Legal Support team. The team is based in Dakota, Weybridge. We promote a hybrid approach to working where colleagues would be expected to attend the office for 1–2 days a week. We are a busy and supportive team with an aim to promote individual and team development.

We are a friendly, supportive and busy team situated in a sensitive and confidential legal environment. We work hard to support Childcare Lawyers and Paralegals, whilst also providing support to the wider Legal Services team which sits within the Resources directorate.
About the role
Your day–to–day work will vary from actioning requests from Childcare Lawyers and Social Workers to providing general administrative support to clients and other departments within Surrey County Council. Your role will also allow you to be at the frontline in providing support to colleagues within Legal Services as we upgrade our case management system from Prescient Plus to iCasework in the new year.
Other daily duties can vary from post functions and manning our reception line to scanning and printing and sealing official documents using the county's historic seal.
About you
The post requires exceptional organisational and IT skills with the ability to prioritise work and a clear focus on meeting deadlines. You will need to be confident to make straightforward decisions relating to your role, whilst maintaining strict confidentiality rules and excellent attention to detail.
