We have an excellent opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join a Court of Protection team at a Legal 500 firm based in Swansea. The successful candidate will be responsible for progressing a caseload of private deputyship applications and will also provide support to the professional deputies to assist our clients by managing their property and financial affairs.

The nature of this role will ideally suit a candidate with a confident personality who is compassionate, pragmatic and is comfortable in dealing with sensitive issues.

The role is varied and will involve such tasks as:

Dealing with new enquiriesPreparing and submitting applications to the Court of Protection (with support and supervision)Liaising with third parties such as social workers and medical professionalsObtaining relevant evidence and documentation in support of applicationsProviding appropriate advice and guidance to clients Whilst previous Legal Assistant or Paralegal experience would be advantageous, the firm are open to hearing from candidates who feel they have the relevant skill set for the role, as full training will be given.
