Learning and Development Coordinator Event Support and Administration

A leading national law firm that has an outstanding reputation for their commitment to furthering social mobility, has a 6 month fixed term contract opportunity for a highly organized and quick learner to join their team in the capacity of a Learning and Development Coordinator. This is a role that sits within the Learning and Knowledge team and will provide administrative support and coordination for L&D activities within the firm. The successful candidate will learn in the role and the ability to demonstrate an interest, motivations and potential suitability are the principal requirements. The role could be based in Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester or even London and offers considerable flexibility around working arrangements.

In this role, the primary responsibilities and objectives include the following:

Working closely with the Knowledge Operations Manager to organize, schedule and promote learning events within the firm Assuming responsibility for the Learning and Development inbox and responding/resolving enquiries Gaining a deep understanding of L&D and KM systems to provide administrative support and to run reports Working closely with 3rd party providers of training services, internal stakeholders and other group functions such as accounts Assisting in budget management and cost control by monitoring and recording expenditure Driving engagement within the firm, particularly with a view to the collection of feedback and the definition of future learning needs Horizon scanning to identify trends, L&D providers and events or opportunities that support the firms learning objectives Supporting on wider L&D or Knowledge Management initiatives, and upholding the firms core values around diversity, inclusion and social inclusion mobility To be a suitable candidate for this Learning and Development Coordinator role, you will need the following:

A demonstrable interest in working within L&D or the Knowledge Management function of a law firm Highly organized, strong administrative skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and external providers A quick learner, particularly around new IT systems and organizational processes An ability to manage small projects and to manage conflicting priorities
