The School:

At The Rise Partnership Trust, we are very proud of our speech and language therapy provision and strive to give every pupil a unique voice and embed communication opportunities throughout the curriculum and the school day. We champion multi-agency working and know that the best outcomes occur when families, therapists and teaching staff are working together, in the best interests of the child or young person.

This role will allow you to have a small, varied paediatric case load as well as developing your leadership, management, and supervision skills alongside our Lead OT. At The Rise Partnership Trust you will receive high-quality clinical supervision, exceptional CPD opportunities and support in your role from the Director of Inclusion.

Our pride in what we do has been reflected in our most recent OFSTED reports (see below). If you are interested in joining our team, we would love to hear from you. Our Director of Inclusion Emily Williams would be happy to arrange a time to discuss the role further: emily.williams@therisepartnershiptrust.co.uk

The Avenue School OFSTED report November 2023

“The speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and inclusion team all work in unison with the teaching staff. Together they plan each pupil’s targets and support plans across these domains.”

“Front and centre of the school’s work is to develop pupils’ communication skills.”

Manor School OFSTED report February 2020

“Pupils have a voice and make a difference to the school through roles such as pupil ambassadors. As a result pupils feel values and listened to.”

“All pupils learn life skills and communication in a way that prepares them for future independence.”

The Rise Partnership Trust (RPT) is a growing trust currently consisting of two outstanding special schools - The Avenue School and Manor School.

The trust is committed to our vision ‘championing unique potential’ and we pursue excellence in all that we do; providing the most effective education and therapy provision for all. Every member of the school community, including parents and carers, play a key part in the delivery of the therapy services within RPT schools. Therapists work collaboratively with class teams and parents/carers to embed strategies within pupils’ natural environments. This reflects our belief that therapy is most effective when strategies to promote engagement and communication are incorporated ‘all day, every day’ at school and at home.
