Description

Welcome to Reach Academy Hanworth Park.

We are welcoming an incredible founding team to open, lead and grow our new school. This is a career-defining opportunity to ensure that children have strong foundations from the start. We know that an effective Early Years education is vital if we are going to reach our vision of our children going on to live a life of choice and opportunity.

Role overview:

Being part of a founding team opening a new school is the greatest privilege in the world.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish the culture of our EYFS that will start with Reception but grow to include a Nursery. It is a unique opportunity to help build a school where every child is loved and nurtured from day one and builds strong foundations for life.

Reach Academy Hanworth Park, an all-through, free school will open in September 2024 with a vision for every one of our students to: go on to enjoy lives of choice and opportunity. We value and believe in the power of trusted relationships, pursuit of excellence, and strong leadership - for both students and staff.

Reports to: Co-headteachers, Tilly Browne and Louis Everett.

Start date: September 2024

We embrace flexible working and have extensive experience of team members working flexibly. That said, starting a new school is complex and important work and it may be, therefore, that greater flexibility is something that comes in time.

Role responsibilities:

To understand and strongly believe in the school’s ethos and values with a commitment to ensure that all students who leave RAHP go on to live a life of choice and opportunity.

To actively create a strong classroom culture by establishing strong relationships, clear routines and bringing a sense of joy to your work.

To employ a range of evidence-informed teaching strategies to ensure that children develop rapidly and make progress in all the areas of the EYFS.

To reflect upon children’s progress and use this to inform each child’s next steps.

To plan backwards from a life of choice and opportunity, ensuring that the needs of all learners are met.

To design provision that challenges and supports all learners both inside and outside.

To deliver lessons that are highly engaging.

To carry out class teacher responsibility with care and diligence, investing in strong personal relationships with your class and their families.

To care for, get to know and work closely with parents as part of high-quality community engagement.

To promote the school’s values and ethos through the development and implementation of policies, practices and procedures.

To establish strong personal relationships with students and their families through introductory home visits and then consistent communication.

To help develop a school culture unwaveringly committed to providing students with a life of choice and opportunity.

To establish strong relationships with colleagues and external professionals to work collaboratively for the benefit of all students and their families.

To establish a culture of positive attendance where students and their families aspire to attend school every day.
