We are looking for a Lead Driver to head up our team at: Barrowby Depot Sheepwash Lane, A1/A52 Slip Road South, Barrowby, Grantham Lincolnshire NG31 8NX

The Supervisory Aspect of the role will include all the supervisory duties:

Ability to drive/cover all routes Ability to motivate a team/Proven track record in motivating a team Distribute/organise rotas and bus routes. Drivers Assessments completed annually for all drivers Excel and Word skills. Health and Safety observed in the depot Legal Compliance of the Vehicles; timely presentation of vehicles according the maintenance schedule Management skills to continue to deliver a strong reliable service Organise logistics and vehicle movements Vehicle Defecting System observed The Driver Aspect of the role will include all the driver duties. CallConnect - 07:00-13:00 and/or 13:00-19:30. Inter-depot co-operation occasionally helping out on SEN contracts.

Clean current driving record. Potential to be trained to a D1 or D Licence. Complete all CallConnect waybills/Complete log Sheets Confidence taking money and giving change/issuing tickets/verifying passes Dress professionally and in accordance with company s dress code Driving according to the road regulation Enjoy interacting with the general public/SEND passengers Ensure that vehicles are kept clean both inside and outside Foster a relationship based on co-operation and good communication with LCC Matrix Helping passengers on and off the vehicle where necessary Observes Rotas Patient Manner Perform Daily Defect Walk Around checks to ensure the vehicle is safe Physical Strength required by the type of transport provided e.g. wheelchair accessibility Planning routes in case of diversions Recognise electrical and mechanical faults and report to the CM/MD or technician Report any case of accident, injury or damage of vehicles to the supervisor or Office Manager Strong driving skills-Strong customer services skills The role will be salaried in the week at 39 hours at GBP26,871.00 with the possibility to earn overtime on a Saturday on CallConnect. Ad hoc/Unusual overtime to be agreed with the management.
