Here for sale is a stunning large 1:24 scale model ship of the famous Bluenose 2 schooner from Canada.

The model has been meticulously built to the highest possible standard.

The sails and rigging are exactly as on the full size ship, and controlled by the radio, or it can be powered using the electric motor fitted which drives both propellers via the belt drive system.

This stunning clinker built model has been constructed from kit, all hardwood planking on ply frames. The inside has been sealed with resin to protect the hull and make it fully watertight.

The model is 1:24 scale - length is approx 1700mm ( 67 inches ) and a height of 1460mm ( 57.5 inch )

The top masts can be raised to full height to use all sails, the masts are quickly and securely locked in place with brass pins, ready to sail.

The cotton sails are fully intact and ready to use.

There are some water marks on the rear sail, but they do not affect the use of the model ( and they could be removed easily enough with white Vinegar ! )

The model would make a stunning display piece and / or used for sailing on lakes, ponds etc.

As shown on the photos, there is a 2.4ghz radio receiver with 2 servos / Electronic speed controller, and the winch motor, all setup ready to use.

The rudder control also turns the ships wheel via brass pulleys / belts when steering.

Unfortunately the radio transmitter has been lost, so a replacement will be needed ( or simply swap the receiver for use with your own Transmitter ! )

Parts needed to sail : A 12v battery , and a compatible transmitter ( or your own Transmitter / receiver set )

A very rare model to find, especially at this scale.

Ideal for the vintage model boat collector.
