KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
2+ years experience in a laboratory environment, capable of working autonomously to run and conduct experiments, and carry out data collection and analysis.Any Agri / Crops related experience (particularly in crop nutrition) would be a bonus but, generally, we encourage people to apply with experience in areas such as; inorganic chemistry, chemical engineering, formulation, photocatalysis, material science. You will need to be happy working in a small company environment, currently with minimum supervision and without the support of a large lab team with this comes opportunity though to grow into a key position yourself, with potential to play a lead role in a growing team in future! ROLE OVERVIEW:
This business, a small company in the Crop Protection domain, has received significant backing as they further develop technologies to boost crop productivity all while having a positive impact on the environment. Their aim is to contribute to a more sustainable food system across the globe, producing better crops and reducing harmful greenhouse emmissions.
2024 will be a year of high growth for them, in particular with a focus on expanding their R&D and Laboratory capabilities.
A laboratory technician is therefore required, somebody who might relish the opportunity for rapid career advancement – initially starting as a technician in a very small team, but with the chance to develop into more of a leadership position as the team further expands.
Any domain experience – i.e. in crop or agricultural sciences – would be a benefit. However, this is a 'nice to have' rather than a 'must have', and we would be interested in speaking to candidates experienced in a lab environment and exposure to disciplines such as inorganic chemistry, chemical engineering, formulation, photocatalysis and material science. If you can combine this with a general interest in sustainability and a desire to utilise your skills in a company striving to make a positive impact on our planet, please get in touch!
