Your new roleAn exciting new opportunity as a Laboratory Technician for a global manufacturing organisation has arisen due to an exciting new project. The role as Laboratory Technician will initially be on a 12-month contract.Key duties include;

Carry out laboratory testing in accordance with company proceduresFollow written instructions and safe working practices.Support R&D projects through specific test regimesRecording and reporting test results including deviationsReporting faults and equipment maintenance requirementsConduct testing of materials and production/prototype samples in accordance with test procedures and standards.Planning of material testing to customer specifications and quality standards.Checking equipment is safe to operate, suitably maintained and calibrated as required.Maintain laboratory test data in SPC system and raise alerts in case of deviations or concerning trends.Support customers and internal departments with information.Assist investigations into process / product problems. Previous experience in a similar role is essential. Experienced in laboratory operations and proceduresGeneral laboratory process knowledgeAwareness of requirements of quality standards, i.e. ISO9001Qualifications in Science, Materials or EngineeringGood communication (verbal and written) with customers, inspectors and internal departments at all levelsSelf-motivatedWell-organised to meet changing prioritiesData collection and reporting system experience What you'll get in return
