Laboratory Manager- required for our client based in Warrington. The Laboratory Manager will be primarily in a office-based Team leader role but on the odd occasion on the larger projects they will be a requirement to attend site meeting, for example pre-start meeting. The team provides an extensive and diverse range of inspection techniques to determine the condition and construction detail of concrete, masonry and steel structures.

Set, monitor and review workload schedule ensuring on time delivery of orders. This will include booking & planning siteActively manage projects ensuring that margins are maximised and risk is reduced.Assisting technicians with writing test report.Managing daily resources to meet the clients demandLiaise with Technical Authorities to ensure that the correct testing process and procedures are implemented.Assist with the development and training of technicians.Ensure best practice is implemented in all areas with respect to health, safety and environmental activities.Represent the Company in a technical capacity with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders to maximise secure the most effective contract terms for the Company. Demonstrated success of managing Laboratory operations within Civil Engineering or Testing environmentA full UK driving licenseValid CSCS Card (For site visits)Any experience of IPAF, PASMA, PTS, Streetworks, Confined Spaces etc would be beneficialHigh level of competency with Microsoft Word & ExcelExcellent communication & organisational skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
