We are currently offering the opportunity for a new laboratory manager to join a contract analytical laboratory in Derbyshire. Our client is seeking a hard–working and engaging individual to join their team.

This is an opportunity for an individual who has prior line management experience within a fast–paced working environment.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. Applicants without prior line management experience will not be considered.

The Role

As a Lab Manager within analytical chemistry team, you will be responsible for:

General running and maintenance of the laboratory,Management and training of staff members,Holding regular one–to–one meetings with staff members to track their progress,Dealing with any staff concerns or queries. Skills and Experience Needed

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Prior line management experience within a fast–paced working environment (essential)An enthusiastic personality & enjoys interacting with others (essential)Existing UK work eligibility (essential)BSc / MSc / equivalent work experience in a scientific discipline (desired)Prior experience working within a UKAS / ISO 17025 accredited environment (desired) The Package
