KS2 Supply Teacher - Near Ebbw Vale Your new school:

An opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Teacher to work within a small Primary School in the Welsh Valleys, just outside the centre of Ebbw Vale. The school has a happy and enthusiastic atmosphere, with the staff working together to create a supportive and inspiring environment.

If successful, you will be working alongside a great Senior Leadership Team as well as supportive teachers and Teaching Assistants. You will be a part of a team that aims to nurture good relationships between home and school.

Your new role:

This role is confirmed for a full year, teaching 5 days a week. You will be responsible for full-time teaching responsibilities, including preparation for a Primary School class size between 20 and 30 pupils. You will provide high quality teaching experiences for pupils to achieve their best and feel confident as they develop into their learning journey.

This role is confirmed full time and to start on January 10th with interviews commencing over the next couple of weeks.

Duties relating to the role include but are not limited to:

Create lesson plans.Creating and maintaining a safe, interactive, and engaging learning environment for the pupils.Setting homework or exercises for pupils to practice after classroom hours.Demonstrating tasks, assigning, and encouraging discussions.

What you’ll need to succeed:

You will need to be a qualified teacher holding a valid QTS with a passion for creating a safe and welcoming environment for children to succeed. You will need previous experience of working with children aged 3-11 within the past 2 years. You will hold an enhanced DBS check or be willing to undertake a new one. Some key attributes required will be for you to be enthusiastic, respectful, dedicated, empathetic and have a caring persona. Additional relevant skills include being reliable and provide a calm response whilst in the classroom.
