Kenwood Sodastream model A 180 with unopened spare gas cylinder for making sparkling soft drinks probably purchased in the early 1980’s. Original Instruction recipe book & other literature included.
By way of background - In 1973 a group of entrepreneurs decided Sodastream should hit the big time, designed a new model and negotiated a marketing agreement with Kenwood (Thorn Group) which continued until 1993. Thereafter following a Cadbury Schweppes and management buy out Israel founded Soda Club purchased the brand name in 1998 to form the world’s largest carbonation company with a capital fund taking a controlling interest in 2007. I have been in touch with Sodastream UK and had this response - I love the old Kenwood Sodastream machines, they look so retro. Unfortunately the current gas cylinders and water bottles will not fit into this machine. However I am advised that you can get an adapter and refill the gas cylinder yourself from a pub gas bottlle.
