Nicholas Michael is a recruitment consultancy that specialise in the placement of professionals across both the private and public sectors within Construction. Our recruitment service is built around the ethos of working closely with our clients and job seekers in order to find the ideal match.

Our office is based Hazlewell Court, Lolworth, Cambridge, CB23 8DS (outskirts of Bar Hill).

We are currently looking to appoint a Junior Recruitment Consultant to join our team. You will be required to resource, vet and place candidates into a variety of roles within the construction sector along with learn how to sell to clients and conduct meetings. Sales experience is beneficial but not essential. Applications from dynamic, personable, ambitious individuals will be strongly considered, if you have a construction background that would be hugely beneficial but not essential.

As a Trainee consultant you will be primarily responsible for producing the highest calibre of candidates working closely alongside the Managing Director, learning the role of a recruitment consultant while you do so. This would involve placing adverts, speaking to candidates from our database, responding to enquiries, interviewing candidates and taking references.

You will also report to the Managing Director & Senior Consultants and assist with timesheet chasing, accounts and document compliance within the business.

Responsibilities:

Resourcing candidates for a variety of different roles with the construction sector

Vetting candidates through character assessment and carrying out references

Placing multiple advertisements on different job platforms

Responding to any queries applicants may have

Registering new applicants on the database and making sure it remains up to date

Sales to prospective client

Successful applicants must have the following:

Previous administrative experience

Good time management and organisational skills

Team player

Excellent communicator both written and verbal

Have experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Be fluent in English. Any language such as Romanian, Polish, Lithuanian, Albanian or other is a bonus

Have a strong attention to detail

Knowledge of the Construction sector (preferable)

. Be confident on the telephone

You must have a clean UK Driver's License.

Progression:

We have a solid progression plan in place from starting at Junior level, all the way through to Associate Director and Branch Manager level.
