Role Overview:

As a Junior Production Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the manufacturing of a diverse range of products. This position encompasses responsibilities for safety, quality, and costing functions within the manufacturing process. This role also offers significant development opportunities within this global company.

Key Responsibilities for the Junior Production Manager:

Plan and manage production, labour, and machining requirements.Collaborate with the Divisional Operations Manager and operational support functions to contribute to the development and execution of plans for production improvement activities.Develop and maintain a no-fault culture and ethos throughout the production system.Work closely with materials and planning teams to identify capacity needs and create, plan, and execute resource plans.Manage manufacturing costs centres, focusing on areas such as reducing the cost of manufacturing, conducting monthly reviews, projections, and assessing costs of production.Implement 5S methodologies to optimise production areas and minimize waste. Audit score and adherence to audit frequency are key measures of success.Ensure compliance with EHS policies, managing safe working conditions, conducting risk assessments, routine inspections, overseeing new employee induction, and providing ongoing safety training.Maintain and develop an accident and hazard-free work environment. Ideal Candidate for the Junior Production Manager:

Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience.Essential manufacturing or assembly experience (all industries considered).Good level of Health and Safety experience within manufacturing. IOSH/NEBOSH would be an advantage.Knowledge of lean tools and processes.Ambition to learn, develop, and progress further within a market-leading company.Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work with customers and negotiate.Problem-solving capabilities and experience.
