SF Recruitment have a new opportunity for a Junior Buyer for our Nottingham based client. This is a full-time permanent role working Monday-Friday paying up to GBP30,000.
This is a really exciting role for someone who is looking to grow within Purchasing. Suitable candidates will have a positive attitude, keen to learn with and flexible and adaptive approach.
This role would also be suitable for candidates with previous purchasing experience looking to progress. The client is looking for someone who is hard working, driven and confident. You will be required to liaise with suppliers and build relationships so it is important you are have excellent communication skills.
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for the placement of orders ensuring a smooth flow of materials and reducing costs where possible.
Main Duties:
- Sending RFQ's
- Analysis of supplier quotations
- Negotiating with current suppliers on better terms.
- Issuing PO's
- Keeping all departments informed
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in a similar role would be beneficial
- Good negotiation skills
- Attention to detail
- Organisational Skills
