Summary

Based in our brand new, state-of-the-art head office in Tolworth, our IT Retail Solutions department is looking for an experienced and driven individual, who has a passion for store related systems to join our team and build a career in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Our IT Retail Solutions department is responsible for the technical and functional operations of various IT systems used within Lidl GB stores, including the identification, specification, and delivery of solutions to meet business requirements. The retail solutions in scope, include but are not limited to card payments, mobile applications, point-of-sale, and self-checkouts.

We have moved to a hybrid working model with a recommended 2 days in the office per week for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. We feel it is important that, where possible, we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible and trust our teams to determine the right environments that work most effectively for them.

What you'll do

Actively engage and consult with business departments to ensure that store systems capabilities are utilised and required functional enhancements are implemented Assist in the evaluation and prioritisation of projects and project proposals from a technical perspective Actively engage in all aspects of the software and hardware life cycle (e.g., Research, testing, configuration, and installation) Create specifications for system changes and coordinate with developers on their implementation Applying, integrating, and complying with Industry Best Practises and Company Standards Manage the ongoing change, release and test management of systems and processes together with business departments Provide a professional and high level of IT support and incident management to supported systems Optimisation of business processes through use of appropriate technical solutions Ensure that solutions in use are fully documented, reviewed and supported Create and deliver presentations to stakeholders, including senior management Out of hours on call support on rota basis and occasional overnight/ weekend work due to upgrades and system support

What you'll need

Experience of at least one of the following core business systems; card payments, mobile applications, point-of-sale, or self-checkouts Experience in learning new systems and processes, both bespoke and off-the shelf Experience in communicating with and acting as an interface between technical and functional teams. The ability to demonstrate initiative and solution ownership The ability to work both independently and as a team to ensure the correct application of the IT solutions lifecycle Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential Strong Project Management and Stakeholder Management experience is required PowerShell experience would be ideal Experience with Cloud services desirable UK driving licence is highly beneficial
