To review, verify and prioritise allegations of fraud and error.To undertake investigations of fraud and error to support internal disciplinary, civil, or criminal investigations.To maintain proper documentation and evidence in accordance with professional and legislative standards.To liaise with Tenancy Services, Benefits and Revenues, and Legal Services. What will you be doing as an Investigations Officer?
Your role will be to to review and prioritise allegations received.To investigate allegations of fraud and error.To ensure that all investigations are undertaken in accordance with best practice, corporate policies and procedures and relevant legislation.To report on the outcome of investigations in accordance with service management requirements.To use the council's information technology systems relevant to investigations and be able to adapt to new packages/systems.To take accurate witness statements. What experience will you need?
Experience in local authority in fraud investigationsExperience of planning and carrying out complex investigations of fraud and/or irregularities in a large organisationExperience of reporting the outcomes of investigations both verbally and in writing.Experience of interviewing people under caution.
